The video you're about to watch is not made by Nintendo or a video game studio but by Joel Furtado. Joel is a huge fan of Zelda, this 56sec short sure proves it.

Video Game Console Repairs with Style!

Console Art

Are you a fan of video games? Are you an art lover? Do you wish that your game consoles had more flair and style than a plain plastic box? I know I have! I get tired of looking at the matte grey and shiny black colors!

If you’re like me then you MUST check out this amazing graphic artist and painter, Vadu Amka.
Vadu Amka is an artist with a unique choice of canvases. What are his canvases? They are damaged game consoles and game cartridges (along with the occasional traditional canvas to change things up a bit). He has worked on a variety of consoles, to include Xbox, PlayStation, Sega and Game Boy.
He uses a multitude of multi-medium materials, such as acrylic paints, various epoxy types and molding/texturizing materials. With a careful hand, and an unbelievable talent for detail, he creates themes on these consoles, which he repairs himself.

Some of the themes you can see on his website, www.vaduamka.com, include classic video games, new trending video games and popular movies within the gamming community. Some of the highlighted themes include: Star Wars, The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Tomb Raider, Castlevania, The Walking Dead, Halo 5 Guardians, Dragon Ball Universe, Crash Bandicoot and Final Fantasy.

My favorite masterpiece is The Walking Dead / Red Ring of Death Edition he created from an Xbox 360 game console. This creation turns the Xbox 360 into a rough looking device with a zombie hand protruding from the top. The sculpting detail put into the zombie hand is realistic enough to make you second guess whether or not the hand is real.
With such unique talent and creations, it’s no wonder that the Internet is starting to notice him. He has been discussed in multiple magazines and websites praising his unique masterpieces. From the Retro Playing Mag to Nintendolife.com, the Internet cannot get enough of this uprising artist.

As if his artwork wasn’t a blessing enough in the video game and alternative art world, he also reaches out to his fans through tutorials on his website. The videos are well paced and inspiring to watch. It is fantastic to see how much patience, time and care goes into each one of his creations.
While many of his console creations are either custom or for show only, Vadu Amka does have a series of wonderful video game-inspired paintings on canvases for purchase. If you are interested in purchasing a painting, or inquiring about a custom console project, you can contact the artist directly through the contact form, http://vaduamka.bigcartel.com/contact, located in the “products / shop” tab on his website, http://www.vaduamka.com/pages/shop/33162012.html.
